Ashley Wormley, LPCC

Biography: Ashley Wormley is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey. She specializes in using a variety of evidence-based practices in therapy and life coaching to help clients learn and develop self-love and self-care strategies that align with their unique cultural and personal experiences. A proud multicultural provider, Ashley founded Loving Self Counseling Services, LLC in Dayton, Ohio, as a safe space for Black women and women of color to express their challenges with mental health and heal without judgment. With a decade of experience in the mental health field, eight years as a licensed clinician, and five years as a business owner, she has worked with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds. Ashley is also an experienced speaker, offering workshops and trainings to companies and organizations focused on employee wellness and the importance of mental health in the workplace.

Ashley is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her research centers on the influence of social media on athletes’ mental health and performance, with particular attention to how digital environments shape athletes’ identity, stress, and emotional resilience. As she transitions into academia, Ashley is excited to share her clinical insights and research interests in the classroom. She is passionate about cultivating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports students, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds who are preparing for careers in counseling, advocacy, and community wellness.
